If u come to St. Pauli that special date, you will see them: Flower people with colourful hair and amazing costumes, singing and dancing through the streets of Hamburg, cheering to each other and chanting german Schlager.
Right, the guy over there with the mirror ball on his head usually is a bank employee – but not that Saturday in July. That day is Schlagermove – exceptional circumstances.
The crowd moves with many beautiful decorated trucks playing Schlager-music from Landungsbrücken to Heiligengeistfesld and they pass the Spielbudenplatz couple of times. And in the end they all move there again to keep partying till early morning.
